SICER 2009

The International Cider Fair is the world's most important event in the history of cider. The first edition of the Fair was held in 2007 with the ambition to become the global benchmark for quality cider, a meeting point for the main cider producers in different countries around the world.
In this edition there will be exhibitors from Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Mexico, Germany ... with major newcomers Russia and Argentina, as well as all the Spanish exhibitors.

Commercially this is a unique opportunity. SICER makes it easy to meet key buyers, distributors and exporters from countries like England, Belgium, Denmark, France, Holland, etc. SICER is the most effective way to promote products and give them an international projection.

1. Exhibition Area:
This is where mainly producers from different countries are represented (cider presses and cellars). In this area visitors can taste and get to know the products brought in by the exhibitors, at systematically arranged stands designed by the organization, so that exhibitors need only care about presenting their products while the organizers carry out all the tasks that do not bring added value to the company.

2. Master Tastings:
High level cider tastings will be led by top world professionals. Producers will be given the chance to work together with the most prominent apple experts on the international scene.

3. Debates:
SICER will be an opportunity to expand and refine our knowledge in the world of cider; we will have a chance to hear from the best experts about the most interesting issues in the world of cider (quality of raw materials, differentiation and competition with respect to other beverages..) in the seminars, round tables and lectures.

SICER be held in the Principality of Asturias, a historic region in Northern Spain, specifically in Gijón, a cosmopolitan coastal city and world class tourist and gastronomic destination with a deep-rooted cider culture.

SICER is located in the Auditorium of the Exhibition Palace of the Luis Adaro Showground, Gijón, an outstanding setting for major world-class events.
